"The government is insensitive towards various sections of society as has been seen in the recent past when employees and people from various walks of life were forced to hit the streets in support of their demands.
"This government has failed on all fronts despite making tall promises to people before the Assembly elections (in Oct 2014)," former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda told reporters here.
Hooda said power tariff, which was cheaper than Punjab, Delhi and many other states during the previous Congress regime, had been hiked by the Khattar government.
Replying to a question, Hooda said Chief Minister Khattar during his US and Canada visit last year had stated that Rs 10,000 crore worth investments would flow into the state and made "big talk" after his recently concluded foreign tour to Japan and China.

"The sad reality is what we see on the ground is, where are the investments," Hooda said.
Hooda also said that Congress has decided to gherao the Assembly next month when budget session will be held to highlight the alleged failures of the incumbent regime.
Hooda also accused the state government of "targeting
He alleged that the government was looking at every official with an "eye of suspicion" and thus, the latter always lived in the fear that their phones were being tapped.
"A state of undeclared emergency prevails in the state," Hooda said.
He took a jibe at the Khattar government saying while it had "no achievements" to its credit, it was quick to change the names of places such as Gurgaon to Gurugram.
He claimed that the names of schemes launched by the previous Congress government in the state were also being changed by the current dispensation.
"Those in the BJP consider me a hurdle in their way. They think that if they can have me out of their way, nobody will be left to raise the people's voice. But, they are grossly mistaken and this dream of theirs will never be fulfilled. I will continue to fight for the people by raising their voice," said Hooda.
The former chief minister has been claiming that the BJP government has unleashed political vendetta against him after its action in various cases, including the one related to Panchkula industrial plots allotment.
