Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today underlined the significance of yoga, saying it helps nurture mind, body and intellect in harmony which adds passion and enthusiasm to life.
"It acts as a stress-buster," he added.
The Chief Minister was addressing the participants at the concluding day function of a three-day state-level yoga training camp here where Haryana's brand ambassador for yoga and ayurveda Baba Ramdev imparted training to participants including Khattar, ministers, chief parliamentary secretaries, MLAs, the Chief Secretary and other senior officers.
The Prime Minister himself would perform yoga with more than 31,000 participants at Capitol Complex in Chandigarh on the World Yoga Day on June 21 and the programme would be telecast worldwide, Khattar said, adding that as many as 10,500 participants from Haryana would participate in the programme.
Baba Ramdev said yoga was limited to a special category of people in the ancient times, but now it has become popular thanks to Narendra Modi.
