Television personality Khloe Kardashian shares secrets for finding strength of body, mind, and heart with revelatory stories of her own struggles with weight, relationships, and her self-image in her new book.
'Strong Looks Better Naked,' published by Simon & Schuster, is filled with practical advice, recipes, and personal anecdotes.
She says her body transformation wasn't about her body at all; it began as an escape act from the media and therapy for her mind.
"The gym was a genuine oasis - a refuge and a sanctuary... My workouts were not about vanity; they were about relieving stress. I had so much going on emotionally, and I was disinclined to talk about it, even with my own family, so the workouts became a form of therapy," the sister of celebrated reality TV star Kim Kardashian says.
"Over the last three years, I've transformed my body, my mind, and my heart. I've never been stronger or happier or more grounded. I hope this book inspires you to build your own form of personal strength. One baby step at a time! That is my philosophy: Small changes and small steps can transform your life," suggests Khloe.
In a culture that worships skinny, Khloe writes about the power of strength: a strong body lays the foundation for a strong mind, which leads to strength of heart, character, and ultimately spirit.
"Body, mind, soul. That phrase is everywhere; I hear it all time, but until recently I had never given it much thought," she says.
