Khosla, who has dressed up Bollywood actors and members of the Indian cricket team, told PTI last night that in sync with the motto of the fashion show in the city of great heritage and culture, he had sourced some of his outfits from weavers in Bihar while sticking to essential western style of clothing.
"I would love to dress up some of your top Bengali stars if approached. Bengal has its very own indigenous fashion statement which I want to capitalise on with my own signature," Khosla said.
With a backdrop of the blue pool water, leading models walked the ramp wearing coats, cropped pants, tunics and open-shouldered halters in black, grey and white.
"You cannot compare one city with another - Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai - every city is different. Some have a bigger market. But I am happy to see how people are becoming more receptive to the changing fashion scenario and Kolkata could have its own fashion statement in line with the contemporary style elsewhere," Khosla said.
Mohun Bagan star Tolgay, who had turned up at the Agnimitra Paul show on Madhubani painting as show-stopper along with four other footballers, said, "It was a new exciting experience and I would love to witness any Khosla show whose garments are retailed through several high end boutiques in cities."
