Khushi becomes youngest girl to win two-degree black belt

Nine-year-old Khushi Ankur Punj once again brought laurels to Maharashtra after she won the second degree black belt at the martial arts examination held at Nargol in Gujarat.
This victory has made Khushi the youngest girl in the country to be awarded with the second degree black belt (karate) at this age.
The martial arts examination held in Gujarat was conducted by Japan Shotokan Karate-do Kanninjuku Organization India (Member of the Asian Karate-Do Federation and the World Karate-Do Federation), under the supervision of Shihan Paramjeet Singh, Chief Instructor and examiner (India).
Khushi has previously too made a record by winning first degree black belt and becoming the youngest female black belt holder in Maharashtra and the second youngest in India.
This time, bettering her skills she gained the position of becoming the youngest girl to hold second black belt.
Besides this, Khushi has also won two other prizes - a Gold in Kata and a Silver in Kumate at the Nationals held in December 2014. She has also been conferred with the special Thane Mayor award for her being the youngest Black belt holder in Maharashtra in October 2013.
At a brief function held here for the "wonder girl" from Thane was felicitated in the presence of a small gathering.
Also, present for the function were BJP leaders Milind Patankar and Madhavi Naik.
