A businessman, who was kidnapped by six miscreants in Alwar district of Rajasthan, was rescued on Monday, police said.
Mukesh Mittal was kidnapped at gunpoint from his house in Aravali Vihar in his own car. After information by his family members, police had put barricading and started a search operation, Station House Officer Hari Singh said.
"The accused deserted the car and later released Mittal under pressure from police. Mittal was rescued and on information provided by him, police caught the six accused later," he said.
The kidnappers were identified as Sonu (21), Bhupendra Singh (25), Vishwendra Singh (25), Monu (26), Tunnu (20) and Karan Singh (20).
A country-made revolver, three live cartridges, one airgun and two sharp-edged weapons were seized from their possession.
