Kidnapped girl recovered in Jammu

A girl who was kidnapped from near her house in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir three days ago was today recovered from Jammu and handed over to her parents.
"We received a complaint from the parents of the girl that she went missing on May 17 after she went to fetch water from a nearby well," SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar said.
He said her parents accused that their daughter was kidnapped by a man named Ajay Kumar, a resident of Jammu.
"A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted and raids were conducted at several places after which the kidnapper was arrested from his residence in the Gorda Bhatti area of Jammu," he said.

Kumar said that the accused was arrested and the girl was also recovered from his house, who was later handed over to her parents after conducting all legal formalities.
