With the man rescued, an alleged kingpin of an inter- state kidnappers' gang has been arrested, police said.
The drama began when the abducted man, a resident of Vikaspuri, received a call from an unknown person posing as a farmer who said he was in possession of a 4 kg gold brick which he found in a field while digging and didn't knew what to do with it, police said.
"On July 30, an FIR was registered at Vikaspuri by victim's father after he received a ransom call from the kidnappers demanding Rs 6 lakh for his son's release," a police official said.
Through electronic surveillance we found the location of the abducted man from where he was rescued and the gang leader was nabbed, police said.
