Victims' families hail from Nandigama mandal in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. They had come here to attend a wedding at a convention hall in Nagole area, said an official of the L B Nagar police station.
While standing on the edge of the water fountain, the children -- Manaswini (5) and Jitendera Kumar (4) -- received shock, fell into water and drowned.
Police suspect that current passed through the water as the wires connecting the fountain to an electric motor were frayed. Doctors confirmed that the victims had received electric shock as there were burn injuries on the bodies.
