Asserting 'Window Connection' is not inspired by Krzysztof Kieslowski's 'A Short Film About Love', 'Uro Chithi' actor Tanusree says it is a psychological love story on a schizophrenic boy's infatuation with an ad professional older in age.
"Window Connection is neither a take off from the Kieslowski film, nor have any references with Monishaa Koirala's 'Ek Chhoti Si Love Story' or Poonam Pandey's 'Nasha'. It is a unique psychological love story penned by a new age Tollywood director, a Kolkatan," Tanusree told PTI.
Portraying an ad professional, rooted to her Bengaliness but yet frequenting 'Someplace Else', Tanusree says, "The dilemma faced by the first year student and the ad executive are only typical of people of this place."
Tanusree, who recalls how she was stalked by a man in real life before becoming a big time actress, says she didnot enjoy the experience as a woman and lodged a complaint with the police.
"However, in this film by Raj Kumar Gupta the character Rahul (played by Srijit's Mishawr Rawhosyo actor Aryan) is one who broods and is a loner. He doesn't have the typical deviant psyche of a guy who irritates a woman," Tanusree, also etching out the role of an athlete in upcoming Agun says.
Tanusree, who had shared screen space with friend Rudraneil Ghosh in Bedroom, says she wants to hear more praises from the audience as they are an unrelenting judge.
"I have the apetite for good films. I had done shoots for six films in 2013. But I want more quality works. If I can be part of projects of Tonyda (Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury) to Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay and Kaushik Ganguly, can't I be considered by others as well!" she said.
