Killing of Forest Dept officials: 100 arrested for questioning

About 100 red sander smugglers from Tamil Nadu were arrested today for questioning in connection with the fatal attack on two Forest Department officials in Seshachalam forests near here.
They were arrested by a special task force at Kodur railway station in Kadapa district, about 45 km from here, police said.
The Forest Department officials were stoned to death while patrolling in the forest areas by a gang of red sander smugglers on December 15. Another official sustained injury in the incident.
