Kishmish rises on increased buying

Kishmish prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today on the back of increased buying by retailers and stockists on pick up in demand from bulk consumers.
Further, tight stocks following fall in supplies from the growing regions supported the uptrend.
Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 3,200-4,100 and Rs 3,900-7,400 per 40 kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against restricted supplies from growing belts, mainly pushed up kishmish prices.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 17,000, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 9,700-10,000, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,300-6,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-19,500.
