Kishmish rises on tight supply

Kishmish prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers amidst low stocks following fall in supplies from producing areas.
Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 4,500-6,000 and Rs 9,100-12,500 per 40 kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers amid fall in supplies from producing areas mainly pushed up kishmish prices at the dry fruit market here.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 22,000, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,300-8,400; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,300-6,400; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-25,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 765-785 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 650-740 per kg.
