Based on specific intelligence, the joint team launched an operation and late last night nabbed the KLO extremist identified by the police as one who has worked closely with the top hierarchy of the outfit, the spokesman said.
They also recovered a 7.62 mm pistol from the militant along with some ammunition.
He is known to be have been trained in Myanmar in 2012 and had returned to India in 2014 with the aim to carry out subversive activities, the spokesman added.
