Neetu Shutteran Wala, known for his antics, may have secured just five votes during the Lok Sabha polls even though his own family had nine voters, but it has failed to dampen his spirits as he is contesting again from the Phagwara (Reserved) seat.

The bypolls in Punjab will be held on October 21 in four assembly seats and Neetu is contesting from Phagwara (Reserve) seat. Dakha, Mukerian and Jalalabad are the other three seats where the bypolls are being held.

The video of Neetu crying inconsolably after securing just five votes despite hailing from a family having nine voters had gone viral during the Lok Sabha polls.

Riding his own bike along with his private security guard, Neetu demonstrates his campaigning skills as the media accosts him.

The 36-year old gets off his bike, squats and then lies down flat on the road with bemused cop and public standing nearby.

He does so not to protest but to demonstrate how grounded and unassuming he would be if is voted.

"I will spread a mat alongside the road, sit on it and meet the public to address their grievances, he tells a reporter.

Then he shows practically how will he do so.

Declaring that he will also contest the election to become president as an independent, Neetu calls upon electorates not to vote for the three traditional parties - the ruling Congress, the BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

"Vote for anybody else to rid Punjab of its ailments," he says.

"I won't mind if you don't vote for me but don't vote for the three parties," he said.

Claiming that he will change the destiny of Punjab and make India a 'Vishwa Guru' if voted to power, Neetu accuses Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh of harming the state by reneging on his oath of wiping out drugs within four weeks.

Fearing for his life or getting framed in a cooked up case, Neetu alleges that he faces threat to his life.

He, however, says he not neither afraid of death nor anybody else.

He alleged that nomination papers of his wife, mother and sister were rejected from Dakha, Jalalabad and Mukerian respectively by these parties.

"My file too was first returned as incomplete but later accepted when a battery of lawyers accompanied me," he claims.

Neetu had cried publicly when his file was first returned but was later accepted after it was duly completed.

Demanding only one pension should be allowed to MLA or an MP even if the person wins more than one election, Neetu urged the educated youth to contest elections to bring about a change in the system and providing an alternative.
