KOB medical textiles bags two awards

Palladam based KOB Medical Textiles Pvt Ltd was awarded First Prize in case study competition-manufacturing excellence Category at the 7th Edition of CII National Cluster Summit, held recently at Gurgoan.
The two-day summit, organised on October 30 and 31, was the annual flagship event of the CII-Avantha Centre for Competitiveness for SMEs, aimed at giving a new direction to the cluster movement and enable networking amongst Indian SMEs and their Eco System, a release from Coimbatore Zone of CII, said.
Highlights of the event were Kaizen Gallery Exhibition and Cluster Championship and Kaizen Awards which were given away to companies, who have excelled through Cluster Approach.

KOB Medical Textiles in Tirupur District, also won the Audience Poll Award for the best presentation in the summit, organised with the support of MSME, Government of India and other affiliated bodies, it said.
Awards for excellence in areas of Manufacturing Excellence, Cost Competitiveness, Energy Efficiency, Total Employee Involvement, Productivity, Quality, Safety and Environment were given way to enterprises both in Large and MSME sector.
Case study and Kaizen entries came in from all across the country numbering more than 200 and 500 respectively, it said.
