Kochi, Mumbai schools to fight it out for top honours

Government Higher Secondary School, Kochi, and Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School and Junior College, Mumbai, will fight it out for the senior boys' title in the Reliance Foundation Youth National Football Championship in progress here.
In the semi-finals today, the Kochi school edged out Goa's Govt. Higher Secondary School 1-0 while Fr. Agnel took down Mamta Modern Sr. Sec. School, Delhi 10-9 in the penalty shootout at Cooperage Ground after the teams were level 1-1 at regular time.
Josy Joseph scored the match winner for the Kochi outfit in the dying minutes of the game against their Goan rivals.
In the College boys category, Nirmala College, Kochi defeated Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai, 2-1 in the semi-finals.
The Kochi team would meet Kolkata's Charuchandra College who ousted Goa's Rosary College of Commerce & Arts 3-1 in the other semi-final.
