After the meeting, Koli community members said that they are satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.
Gujarat Animal Husbandry Minister Purshottam Solanki's younger brother Hira Solanki, has been spearheading the community's agitation demanding that since the community stood behind the BJP in every election, its members should be given more "representation" in the state government.
Hira Solanki had also organised a large gathering of Koli community members to press for the demand and had protested after he was not made a minister while his elder brother Purshottam Solanki was made a minister.
"I, along with other Koli leaders met the CM and held discussions for half-an-hour. She told us not to agitate for representation of our community in the government. She gave a positive response to our demands," Solanki said.
