The sixth edition of Kolkata International Children's Film Festival, showcasing around 200 films from 33 countries, will be held here from December 24.
The eight-day-long festival has science fiction as it's theme and will screen films like "Terminator" series, "Star Wars," "The Martian," "ET: Extra Terrestrial," and "Despicable Me" among others, the organisers said.
An exhibition on 'The Magical World of Science Fiction Films' will also be held at Gaganendra Pradarshanshala.
Festival's executive director Arpita Ghosh said world cinema, short films, documentaries and animations will also be showcased.
"Most of the films are new films," she said adding workshops on various technicalities of cinema like camera, editing, sound and film appreciation would be conducted for children above 12 years of age.
Director Sandip Ray's "Double Feluda" will be the inaugural film, while other films from the series will also be screened.
