State transport minister and the Bangladesh deputy High Commissioner are likely to flag off the service, which is a part of the regional free trade agreement- Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal Motor Vehicles Agreement.
Meanwhile, cargo vehicles will also arrive from Bangladesh to Kolkata.
From the city, the first cargo truck was sent on trial basis last year.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata-Dhaka cruise service by Vivada was likely to commence in the near future.
"The standard operating procedures are under preparation by the Inland Waterways Authority. We hope to begin in near future," Vivada executive director R Sushila said.
