"A landmark in the tourist map of India - foundation stone was laid for setting up a wax museum on the sixth floor of the Finance Centre Building, opposite to 'Prakriti Tirtha'," Banerjee wrote on Facebook.
Inspired by the Madame Tussauds, the world-famous exponent of Wax Museum of London, she said, the museum was being created to allow photo opportunity to the visitors with famous personalities.
'Prakriti Tirtha', also known as Eco-Tourism Park, is spread over 480 acres, including a 100-acre lake, and is developed by the Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO).
The park has a number of attractions, including a butterfly park, floating musical fountain, bamboo garden, fruit orchard and tea garden, besides a unique mask garden.
