The five-member delegation led by KOTRA's Director General Dongseok Choi apprised Badal about the eagerness of Korean companies to invest in Punjab.
Korean companies have vast and globally recognised experience in the electronic industry and can explore possibilities about setting up units in Punjab, Choi said and invited the Deputy Chief Minister along with a delegation of officials from Punjab to have an interactive session with CEOs and MDs of Korean companies.
Inviting KOTRA for investment in Punjab, Badal told the delegation that Punjab had been recognised as one of the top investment destinations in the country on the basis of world-class infrastructure and air connectivity.
Providing details of the state's new industrial policy, Badal informed the delegation that Punjab had the country's most attractive industrial policy.
He also informed the delegation that the Integrated Check Post at Attari would be a boon for Korean industries in the long run as the border with Pakistan was likely to be opened in the near future, allowing access to all Central Asian countries.
