One-man commission headed by Justice (retd) M L Koul has submitted its report on the killing of five persons allegedly in CRPF firing in two separate incidents in Shopian district of Kashmir last year.
"The report has been submitted to the government. It is now up to the government now what it will do with it," Justice Koul told PTI today.
He refused to divulge the contents of the report saying "It would inappropriate on my part to talk about it at this time".
Four youths were allegedly killed in CRPF firing at Gagran in Shopian district on September 7 last year on a day when the whole world was watching conductor Zubin Mehta's maiden performance in Kashmir.
While CRPF claimed that the youth were militants as they had opened firing on them, local residents staged protests claiming that three of the slain youth were innocent locals and the fourth was a labourer from Bihar.
Another youth was allegedly killed in the paramilitary force firing on September 11 during protests against the killing of the four youth.
