Of the total outlay, Rs.7,506 crore, 38 per cent, had been earmarked for agriculture sector, NABARD District Deveopment Manager, Inigo Arul Selvan said here today.
Considering the economic profile of the district and its role in nurturing MSME sector, Rs.7,735 crore (46 per cent) had been earmarked for the sector, he said.
The potential credit for other priority sector like export credit, education and housing had been assessed at Rs.2,651 crore (16 per cent), he said.
Releasing the plan document, District Collector, T N Hariharan streed the need for increased credit flow aimed at capital formation both in agriculture and MSME sectors.
