Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan presided over the meeting which was attended by Chief Minister Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervaiz Khan Khattak and Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen Hidayat ur Rehman, among others.
The meeting discussed the security situation here in the tribal dominated KP after two days of consecutive suicide bombings in the neighboring Punjab province.
A suicide bomb blast in the Qasr-e-Sakina Imambargah in Rawalpindi yesterday killed three people while six people were killed on Tuesday when a suicide bomber blew himself up near the police headquarters in Lahore.
The governor condemned the terrorist attacks and said that militancy should be eliminated from the country and no space should be given to these ruthless terrorists.
The meeting was also briefed about the pace of progress on the ongoing security measures as well as the rehabilitation arrangements in the affected areas.
