KPC demands early enactment of Hindu Temple Bill, meets Guv

Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), an organisation advocating cause of displaced Kashmiri Hindus, today called on JK Governor N N Vohra and demanded early enactment of Hindu Temples, Shrines and Religious Places Bill.
A delegation of the KPC, led by its president Kundan Kashmiri, today called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here and presented a memorandum of their demands.
The demands presented by the delegation included early enactment of the Hindu Temples, Shrines and Religious Places Bill and speedy implementation of the Prime Minister's Rehabilitation Package for Kashmiri migrants.
Besides these, their other demands included representation of the KP community in state council of Ministers, Legislature and in the Rajya Sabha, provision of financial assistance to overaged Kashmiri migrant youths to set up income generating units and financial support to those Kashmiri migrants, who are suffering from serious ailments and cannot afford the cost of treatment.
The Governor informed the delegation that the issues will be taken up with the state government.
