"There should be a thorough investigations into the fake and false ration cards being issued to dubious migrants and they should be immediately cancelled to extend proper benefits to the genuine migrant families," Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) President Shadi Lal Pandita told reporters here.

He said suspending these fake and fraudulent ration cards would mean that the State government would not require more funds to meet the enhanced relief assistance required in favour of genuine migrant families.

He also appealed to the government to enhance the cash assistance relief for Kashmiri Migrants from Rs 5000 to Rs 15000 per month.

Pandita said the government should implement the Prime Minister Employment Package for Migrant Youth in true spirit by advertising the remaining 3000 posts available with a grant of age relaxation.
