The proposal for the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their original locations in the Valley has been rejected by the community, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj said today.
"The return of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) in previous locations and such small clusters have already been rejected by the community," YAIKS President R K Bhat said at a youth convention here.
YAIKS is an organisation of Kashmiri Pandits youths.
He said the convention strongly condemned and rejected the recent revised roadmap for the return of displaced KPs in Valley approved by the state Cabinet without seeking the consent of the displaced community members.
Bhat alleged that the revised proposal has been prepared at the behest of the separatists.
The roadmap shows that government was more keen to keep the separatists happy rather than show serious concerns for the return of KPs, he alleged.

"Nobody can stop us from going back to our motherland, we are equal stakeholders of Jammu and Kashmir as others. We are an integral part of the civilization.
"We can stay in any part of the Valley, whole Kashmir is ours. The separatists must know that our property has been looted and encroached, our houses have been gutted during militancy, there is no sense of security, so how is it possible that we can go to our original places," he said.
"Politics is being played again with the sentiments of KPs who have been thrown away from their motherland and are living exiled life as refugees in their own country. Indian secularism, leadership, democracy have failed to defend our fundamental rights," Bhat said.
He said YAIKS will prepare a blueprint for the eventual return of KPs to the Valley and it will be submitted before the community for its approval.
