Krishna District Collector Babu A today held a meeting with officials of agriculture department, National Informatics Centre and a vision tech, a technical service provider here where the software to collect details of sale of fertilisers and pesticides by the dealers was finalised, an official release said.
Under the system, every farmer has to provide his Aadhar card, land survey number, nature of the crop and his soil health card to the dealer at the time of purchasing fertilisers and pesticides, it said.
Based on this information, farmers will be supplied fertilisers by the dealers. Babu said initially about 20 private dealers are identified to implement the project on pilot basis.
And based on the success of this project, the system to be extended to all sellers by the coming Khariff season, he added.
