The 36-year-old actor will join Jerry O'Connell and Sydney Tamiia Poitier in the AXN show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Actors Sherry Miller and John Bourgeois Bruun will also be a part of the ensemble cast.
The show, featuring the "Orphan Black" star, has been picked up by Canada's Bravo for the run of 10 episodes.
The series is currently being shot in northern Ontario.
"Carter" stars O'Connell as Harley Mackay, a detective on a hit American TV show, who is forced to return to his dormant hometown after an embarrassing public meltdown in Hollywood.
