Kuheli crowned Women's 50m Rifle Prone National Champion

Veteran women's rifle shooter and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Kuheli Gangulee, today won the Women's 50m Rifle Prone event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) here.
Kuheli, representing CISF, shot a total of 626.5 points to clinch the national champion title.
Maharashtra shooter Tejaswini R Sawant walked away with the silver medal, shooting a total of 625 points while Gujarat's Lajja Gauswami shot 618.3 to settle for the bronze.
In the team event of the Women's 50m Rifle Prone event, the Maharashtrian Trio of Tejaswini R Sawant (625), Deepali Avinash Deshpande (614.3) and Shweta Devadi (609.5) bagged the gold with a total of 1848.8 points.
Ruchira Arun Lawand (618.2), Tejaswini Mulley (612.9) and Jayshree Das (609.7) from Railways secured the silver, shooting a total of 1840.8, while BSF's Amandeep Kaur (615.5), Rubina (613.1) and Sonia Dadwal (611.8) claimed the bronze medal, earning 1840.4 points.
In the Junior Women's 50m Rifle Prone event, Shirin Godara from Chandigarh shot a total of 615.2 to be crowned the national champion, while J&K's Shreya Saksena walked away with the silver with a total of 615.1 points. Tamil Nadu shooter Gayathri N grabbed 612.3 points for a bronze.
In the team event of the Junior Women's 50m Rifle Prone, Tamil Nadu Trio of Gayathri N (612.3), G Varshaa (610.4) and M Aathirai (604.9) shot a total of 1827.6 to finish on top.
Shrishti Mishra (607.1), Zenab Hussain Bandookwala (606.8) and Prasiddhi (603) from Madhya Pradesh won the silver with 1816.9 points. Maharashtra's Yashika Vishwajeet Shinde (609), Bhakti Bhaskar Khamkar (608.6) and Aishwarya Umakant Thenge (596.7) shot 1814.3 to end with a bronze medal.
