The national level Taekwondo Championship, which is a part of the celebrations of Indo-Korean 40th Diplomatic year, will be open for residents of India, the Korean Cultural Centre India said today.
The Taekwondo festival will see a wonderful amalgamation of Korean and Indian culture, which will be a treat for sports enthusiasts all over the nation, the release added.
Kim Kum Pyoung, the Director of the Korean Cultural Centre, heads the championship and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee is Grandmaster Lee Jeonghee, Kukkiwon-World Taekwondo Headquarters grandmaster and Sports General Manager-Korean Cultural Centre India.
The opening ceremony will be held on October 4th at the Talkatora Stadium and the Championship will be inaugurated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, H E Mr Lee Joon Gyu.

The ceremony will witness an act by the World's finest taekwondo demonstration team from Kukkiwon - World Taekwondo Headquarters, Korea.
Registrations are open for all clubs, Juniors - Black belts and colour belts, Seniors - Black belts only are welcomed to compete in the event.
