The wife of slain Kunda DSP Zia-ul-Haq today moved an application before a designated court here seeking documents submitted by the CBI to it in her husband's murder case.
Praveen Azad submitted before the court that she needed the documents to file a protest application against the CBI's closure report in which it had given a clean chit to former UP minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya.
Judicial Magistrate (CBI) Neelkant Mani Tripathi directed the officials concerned to provide her documents related to the closure report in the case.
The court fixed August 23 as the next date of hearing.
On August one, the investigative agency had filed a "technical" closure report relating to the FIR filed by Azad accusing Raja Bhaiya of conspiring to murder the officer.
The CBI had also filed a supplementary charge-sheet in the case on the same day.
