Dozens had gathered to protest the Turkish government's military campaign against Kurdish militants in the southeast of the country. Local Kurdish media report at least 60 members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, died in the most recent assault.
Demonstrators pelted a police vehicle with stones and police fired tear gas to break up the protest.
Turkey also began launching airstrikes in Iraq and Syria in July 2015 as part of the US-led coalition's fight against the Islamic State group.
