A day after he was removed as Samajwadi Party's national general secretary, Ram Asrey Kushwaha was today removed from the post of chairman of Remote Sensing Application Centre in Uttar Pradesh.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has terminated Kushwaha from the post of the chairman with immediate effect, an official spokesman said here.
Kushwaha's removal from the post of the centre's chairman, which is equivalent to status of state cabinet minister, is yet another blow to him after he was removed from the post of SP's national general secretary yesterday.
"SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav has terminated Kushwaha from the post of national general secretary with immediate effect," a statement issued by general secretary and spokesman Ramgopal Yadav had said.
Though no reason was stated behind the move, it is believed that Kushwaha has been terminated for giving statements to the media without authorisation from the party.
