The students and teachers in turn shall endeavour to educate their families, friends and society, the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) said.
A circular regarding this 'Financial Literacy Drive' has already been issued to all the regional offices of the Sangathan, it said according to a release.
The teachers and students may be trained to use various modes of transactions like e-wallet, UPI (Unified Payments Interface), adhaar-enabled payment system, Cards PoS (Point of Sale), USSD (unstructured supplementary service data).
The students who are actively participating and in turn involving training other students, community and family members will be rewarded with certificates and mementos at school level.
The schools may also utilise the services of Scouts and Guides to educate the society on cashless transaction under community service and development programme. KVs have force of more than one lakh Scouts and Guides, the release added.
