Kyrgyzstan for enhanced business, cultural ties with India

Kyrgyzstan today pitched for enhancing ties with India, including in business and culture sectors, and proposed to dedicate the next 25 years to boost economic relations between the two countries.
"This is a special event as we are celebrating 25 years of establishment of diplomatic relations with India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited our country in 2015 and after 13 years our President came to India on a state visit last year.
"I see big scope for cooperation in political, cultural and economic sectors. And, both of the countries should dedicate the next 25 years to building more business and economic ties between the two of us," Ambassador of Kyrgyz Republic to India Samargiul Adamkulova said.
She was speaking at the inauguration of the Indo-Kyrgyz Business Investment Forum hosted by the PHD Chamber of Commerce here.
"We hope this event is just a beginning of more people-to-people and business-to-business cooperation. The Kyrgyz business delegates are present here and open to discuss opportunities in our country," she said.
"We hope this is a starting point for achieving a milestone in our co-operation," Adamkulova said.

Kyrgyz Republic President Almazbek Atambayev had paid a State visit to India from December 18-21, 2016 during which the two sides "expressed satisfaction with the achievements in bilateral relations and reaffirmed their readiness to further enhance multifaceted cooperation".
"Guided by the common desire to improve the level of the Kyrgyz-Indian relations, the two sides reiterated that India and the Kyrgyz Republic are democratic countries and partners sharing common fundamental values such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law," the two sides had said in a joint statement during the visit.
