Ata-Meken announced today it would leaving the three-party alliance despite what it said was the positive work being done by Prime Minister Zhantoro Satybaldiyev.
The president will now charge one of the five parties represented in the country's fractious parliament with forming a new government.
Ata-Meken said it took its decision on the heels of a parliamentary commission finding alleged misuse of government funds during reconstruction work in Osh and Jalal-Abad, which were hit in 2010 by a wave of bloody interethnic violence.
