L&T shares gain over 4 pc after arm wins Rs 2,213-cr orders

Shares of engineering major Larsen and Toubro today rose by over 4 per cent after the company's construction arm bagged orders worth Rs 2,213 crore across various business verticals.
The stock ended with 4.12 per cent gains at Rs 1,123.75 on BSE. During the day, it went up 4.72 per cent to Rs 1,130.25.
At NSE, it jumped 4.45 per cent to end at Rs 1,123.95.
The company said in a BSE filing that it has won "new orders worth Rs 1,078 crore from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for construction of Kerala/Tamil Nadu-Villikuri- Kanyakumari sections of NH-47 and NH 47B under NHDP Phase-3 in Tamil Nadu in EPC mode".
The company said its power transmission and distribution business has also "bagged new orders worth Rs 1,001 crore across both international and domestic markets".
L&T has also secured an engineering, procurement and construction order worth Rs 134 crore from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority for construction of interim government complex buildings.
