The much-awaited film will be screened at the film club much before it's official release date,December 9.
The film is directed byDamien Chazelle, whose 2014 film "Whiplash," bagged three Academy awards.
Smriti Kiran,creative director ofMAMI, said the team zeroed in on the romantic-musical-drama as it is one of the most talked about films of the year.
"'La La Land' is one of the hottest titles in the festival circuit this year. It is by a director who gave us 'Whiplash', then there is Ryan Gosling. The film is a musical, it has romance, and both these genres have not been explored in a big way in the recent years," Smriti told PTI.

Smriti says the team was in constant touch withViacom18 Motion Pictures, who is distributing the movie in India, for getting "La La Land" to the Mumbai film festival, but when that couldn't happen, they decided to screen it at the film club.
"La La Land" had itsworld premiere at the Venice Film Festivalon August 31.
The uncensored version of the movie will be screened at the film club.
