Around noon on Wednesday, the woman allegedly went to the HoD's cabin and threw liquid ammonia at her from a glass jar.
The HoD quickly covered her face with her 'odhni' and did not suffer any injury, the college official said.
Officials of the Sadar Police Station recorded statements of both the women. As the HoD did not want to file any complaint, no case was registered, a police official said.
