During the meeting, the minister took district-wise review of the self employment cases received and their disposal.
He also reviewed amount awarded to beneficiaries, number of beneficiaries registered and funds realised, labour wages, medical benefits, payment of wages and payment of gratuity under various acts of labour sector.
The minister was apprised that in Jammu province 100 cases were received till July and majority of these were disposed.
He was told that Rs 308.62 lakh has been disbursed as compensation in case of accidental injuries and deaths.
The minister said the government has constituted District Level Advisory Boards for eradication of child labour.
He said special powers have been vested in BDOs, Tehsildars, village level Workers and Assistant Labour Commissioners to ensure implementation of various provision of child labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986.

The minister was apprised that under Voluntary Service Allowance (VSA), the department is providing allowance of Rs 600 to 1100 to BPL beneficiaries.
The minister was informed that under Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Scheme (SKEWPY), the construction work on departmental buildings is in full swing and expected to be completed in a time bound manner.
Director Employment informed the minister that during this year Rs 2.37 crore has been disbursed among unemployed youth under SKEWPY. Under VSA, an amount of Rs 2,482 lakh was disbursed till March, he said.
