Labourer found dead near Malda Town station

A 35-year-old man was found dead in front of a toilet near Malda Town railway station today, police said.
The man had come to Malda from Kerala yesterday and got stranded due to rail disruption as a result of flooded tracks in North Bengal, a police officer said.
The police and GRP officials at Malda Town railway station said that the passenger was also unwell.
On Monday morning he had gone to the toilet near the station but never returned.
His body was later found near the toilet.
He was identified as Saiful Islam (35)and he was a resident of Borpeta in Assam. He used to work as a labourer in Kerala and he was returning home, GRP officials said.
Saiful's body was sent for post-mortem at Malda Medical College and Hospital, Inspector in-charge of Malda GRP Krishna Gopal Dutta said.
