Lack of civic amenities in 553 Haryana colonies: Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that 553 colonies in 16 districts of the state lack in availability of civic amenities and infrastructure.
These colonies fall in the districts of Ambala, Faridabad, Hisar, Sonipat, Mahendergarh, Jind and Fatehabad, Hooda said.
The Chief Minister further said ensuring civic facilities is one of the top priorities of his government and many steps have been taken in this regard.
He dismissed the opposition's allegations of a regional bias in implementation of development schemes, and said his government is committed for inclusive growth.
Haryana Management of Civic Amenities and Infrastructure Deficient Municipal Area (Special Provisions) Act has been brought in for development of infrastructure and basic amenities in municipal areas, Hooda said.

Refuting the opposition's allegation that the state government had acquired land for developing the SEZs, Hooda made it clear that not even a single acre of land has been acquired for SEZ by his government.
He said that the government was taking back the land which was given to a private company for setting up of SEZ in Gurgaon.
Hooda said Haryana is marching on the road of progress under the present regime and every sector, be it infrastructure, IT or agriculture, is seeing a growth.
