Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri opened with a steady two-under 69 in the PGA Tour's OHL Classic at Mayakoba here.
Lahiri, who was third in his first appearance on the PGA this season at CIMB Classic in Malaysia, is Tied-36th and six shots behind leader, Chris Kirk (63).
Lahiri started on the 10th and birdied 11th, 13th and 15th and then turned in three-under. A bogey on first was set right with a birdie on par-five fifth, but a bogey on par-three eighth set him back to two-under.
Lahiri, who managed to keep his card following his rookie year in 2015-16, is making his second start on PGA Tour for 2017, which starts with CIMB Classic in Malaysia in October.
Going into the final round at CIMB he was leading by four shots, but ended third. Lahiri's best result in last one year has been second at Hero Indian Open in March this year.
Kirk had four birdies on each nine in his bogey-free round on Mayakoba's Greg Norman-designed El Camaleon course. He has two top-10 finishes in three starts in the new PGA TOUR season.
