Lakshmikant appointed as Chairman of UP State Bridge Corpn

A day after being dropped from the Akhilesh Yadav ministry, Uttar Pradesh government today appointed Lakshmikant alias Pappu Nishad as the Chairman of UP State Bridge Corporation.
"Pappu has been made the Chairman of UP State Bridge Corporation for one year. He has also be appointed as Director State Bridge Corporation for one year," an official release issued here said.
Nishad was removed from the post of Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies in Akhilesh ministry yesterday before cabinet expansion.
The Akhilesh ministry now comprises 32 cabinet ministers, 9 MoS (Independent Charge) and 19 MoS and the maximum strength of ministry can be 60 only.
