Pakistani security forces have arrested the two sons of Lal Masjid's former cleric Abdul Rashid Ghazi, who was killed in a military operation in 2007, for possessing a gun and a military uniform.
A joint team of police and paramilitary Rangers arrested Haroon Rasheed and Haris Rasheed yesterday from F-6 area of the capital during a patrolling, officials said today.
A gun and a military uniform were found in the car in which the two were travelling at the time of arrest, police said.
"A case has been registered against them and investigations are on, police said, adding that they are being questioned.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of the Lal Masjid alleged that the FIR against the two is an attempt to bar them from pursuing a case against former President Pervez Musharraf who was charged for the murder of their father.
Haroon had registered a case in 2013 against the former dictator for his alleged involvement in the killing of the cleric during a military operation in 2007 when military commandos stormed the Mosque in the heart of Islamabad on Musharraf's orders.
