AAP leader and spokesperson Ashutosh today said that the land acquisition bill in its present form was not at all acceptable as farmers' interests were not looked into.
Talking to reporters, Ashutosh said that certain fundamental changes were needed to be made in the bill.
"The bill in its present form is not at all acceptable. Major changes are needed. We have requested the government that if it wants the bill to be a reality, you have to make certain fundamental changes as you cannot have a bill where farmers are not safe."
"The bill in its present form is also anti-farmer," he said.
Earlier, he said that the Congress and the BJP have to keep aside their politics and reach a consensus on burning issues to take the nation forward.
"The BJP opposed the Congress when it was in opposition. Now the Congress is doing the same. Both BJP and Congress are doing politics over the issue of development. It is unfortunate that India's developmental model has become prisoner of its own politics," he observed.
Ashutosh said after creating political equality it was time for creating economic equality.
