Land allotted for paint unit, LPG bottling plant in Pb

The Punjab government today alloted land to Kansai Nerolac Paint Limited for setting up of a paint unit and Indian Oil Corporation for LPG bottling plant at Industrial Complex Goindwal Sahib.
A committee headed by Punjab Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal alloted 35 acres of land to Kansai Nerolac Paint Limited for setting up of Rs 250 crore paint unit and 30 acres to Indian Oil Corporation for Rs 100 crore LPG bottling plant at Industrial Complex Goindwal Sahib," an spokesman said.
The committee also recommended land allotment to 14 leading hospitals/medical institutions and I-T companies, he said.
Kaushal also reviewed the status of proposed projects of Tata Memorial Hospital, Grewal Eye hospital, Max Healthcare, Chaitanya Hospital and other medical institutions at Medicity.
The committee has proposed to request PGIMER to set up a satellite hospital in Medicity, for which a formal request will be sent by the state government to Director, PGI, and the Union Health Ministry.
Officials said 10 acres of land could be offered to PGI at concessional or even "zero cost" by the government.
