In a memorandum submitted to Singh, the front comprising CPI, CPI-Marxist, MDMK, VCK and Revolutionary Socialist Party pointed out that CBI had filed a chargesheet in a local CBI court last week against ten persons including Chandra, Education Secretary, a sub-registrar and a District Registrar.
They have been accused of hatching a criminal conspiracy and 'dishonestly' selling 5.6 hectares of government land.
"It is the bounden duty of the government to see to it that the officials involved in the offences are placed under suspension to ensure that a fair trial is conducted in the case," the memorandum, copies of which was released to media here today, said.
